ADVANCED COACHING PROGRAM

I’ve been fortunate enough to study not only with several different renowned pianists, but within several piano lineages. As valuable as this experience and knowledge has been to me, it needs to passed on to a next generation!

It is a myth that only concert artists need the highest-level playing tools. I keep improving my own playing, to also expand what I teach, which increases students’ benefit. The renowned violinist Itzak Perlman has said, “When I teach others, I teach myself.” Another wise teacher of mine said, “When you teach, you learn things twice.”

A problem solved in a Beethoven Sonata can be helpful to someone learning Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody! Plus, both teacher and student keep learning from each other!

I am welcoming a select number of students into my coaching program. Participants enjoy the most in-depth instruction and performance preparation. We will design a custom program based on each person’s unique goals. Best fits include those auditioning for music school, established pianists needing deeper independent feedback, or anyone wanting to improve their playing…and willing to take charge of their own growth.

This program isn’t for everyone, but isn’t limited to just professionals and advanced students. Anyone willing to put in the time, to constantly improve, and learn the fine art of monitoring their own progress at home is welcome to apply.

Once a month, optional performance classes are planned. Students can practice playing in front of others, and receive feedback from different people, not just me.

Please note: due to the nature of this program, fees are higher than for normal lessons.
